February is here: are you?
Well, of course you are here, I was referring to your health and fitness goals. I am assuming that those of you taking the time to read this have some kind of goal already set, or you did. If you do not then we have some bigger issues to deal with.
Last week we got practical. You began our push-up challenge. That’s great and the details of week two are posted on our Facebook fan site.
So let’s digress back into the theoretical again this week. Your goals. You probably set a few for the New Year a few weeks ago, a month ago! Do you realize it has been a month since New Years?!
So I ask again, are you here? Have you reached your goals or are you on track to achieve those goals based on the timeline you have set out. If not then you have work to do.
You can set new goals and make a new plan but you need to make sure that it is different. You cannot simply make another goal and try again. It drives me crazy when people bash their heads into the same brick wall over and over again. Crazy! Take a step back and find a different path to get to the other side of the wall. You need a new strategy, a new formula, a new series of steps to get to that goal. If you simply redo what you have always done, guess what? You are going to get the same result you have always gotten.
Albert Einstein once said, “the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.”
This seems to be most people and their health and fitness.
The thought this week is simple: if you are not where you want to be you need to try a different approach. If you feel lost then seek help. It’s OK we all need some help once in a while.
